Celebrating the Remarkable Journey of Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma Ma'am

FAREWELL & RETIREMENT PROGRAM

St. Montfort School, Bhopal, organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony titled “SAMARPAN: Ek Guru Ki Gauravpurna Yatra” on 31st March 2026 during a special morning assembly from 7:30 AM – 10:00 AM to honour the remarkable journey of Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma Ma’am, a devoted educator whose contribution to the institution has been truly exemplary.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of Mrs. Sharma Ma’am, acknowledging her dedication and long-standing association with the school. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was conducted by Rev. Bro. Monachan K.K. (Principal), Rev. Bro. Gregory Ba (Vice Principal), school coordinators, the Guest of Honour Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma Ma’am, and Asha Ma’am (Scout & Guide Incharge), symbolizing the light of knowledge and wisdom.

A serene spiritual ambience was created through a special prayer, followed by a melodious prayer song presented by the school choir, invoking blessings for Ma’am’s future journey. The occasion was further marked by a heartfelt bouquet presentation as a token of respect and gratitude.

The students expressed their admiration through a graceful welcome dance, setting the tone for the celebration. A significant highlight of the programme was the presentation titled “Journey of a Beloved Teacher”, which traced Mrs. Sharma Ma’am’s inspiring career—from joining the institution on 1st October 1999, becoming TGT (Hindi) on 1st July 2002, advancing to PGT (Hindi) on 1st July 2006, and culminating in her retirement on 1st October 2026.

The cultural segment included a meaningful skit presentation, a soulful medley song, and a touching poetry recitation, all dedicated to celebrating the profound impact of a teacher in shaping lives. The programme was further enriched by heartfelt reminiscences shared by alumni—Mr. Anirudh Thakur (Batch 2009–10), Mr. Sudhanshu Sagar (Batch 2012–13), and Mr. Sambal Jha (Batch 2015–16)—who fondly recalled their experiences and expressed gratitude for Ma’am’s guidance.

A grand felicitation ceremony was conducted to honour Mrs. Sharma Ma’am’s invaluable service and commitment. This was followed by a special dance performance titled “Samarpan – A Tribute to Commitment”, beautifully portraying the dedication and passion that define a true educator.

In her emotional farewell address, Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma Ma’am shared her experiences, expressed gratitude to the management, colleagues, and students, and extended her best wishes to all. The gathering was then addressed by Rev. Bro. Monachan K.K., Principal, who lauded her outstanding contribution and described her as a cornerstone of the institution.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by senior class students, expressing appreciation to everyone who contributed to making the event memorable.

“SAMARPAN” was not just a farewell, but a celebration of a teacher’s lifelong dedication to nurturing young minds. Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma Ma’am’s legacy will continue to inspire the Montfort family for years to come.
